Chhatra League attacks anti-Modi program: On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence, on the occasion of the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh, the Progressive Students Alliance has burnt the anti-Modi protest procession and Modi’s effigy. While burning the puppet, some leaders and activists of the Chhatra League came and attacked the leaders and activists of Pragatisheel Chhatra Jote.

The protesters said, “Ten to fifteen BCL activists attacked from behind during the burning of the puppet of the student alliance. At first, coconut shells, bike helmets and bricks were thrown between the two sides from a distance, but in the end, the BCL activists became violent. At that time, they attacked the activists of Chhatra Jote with sticks. Many members of the alliance have been seriously injured.

Another protester said, “Chhatra League activists attacked the student activists of the student alliance with sticks. Two workers were seriously injured.

The agitators claimed that 10-15 leaders and activists including former joint general secretary of the student union Meghmallar Basu, Rashed Shahriar, and Nasir Uddin Prince were injured in the attack.

At the same time, at the foot of the Raju sculpture, on the occasion of awarding the Mahatma Gandhi Award 2020 to Bangabandhu, the BCL leaders said, “Pakistani ghosts came to create chaos on the campus with 20-25 people. Have fought among themselves because of their infighting. There was no one from Chhatra League in the fight. ”
