The road of Rangpur is colorful in the colors of Alpana: On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence, various points of four roads in Rangpur have been painted in Alpana color on the initiative of the district administration.
Rangpur district administration executive magistrate Mahmud Hasan Mridha said on Thursday (March 25th) that more than a hundred artists and volunteers had participated in the “Rangin Hoye Rangpur” program organized by the district administration and managed by ‘We for Them’.
From noon on Wednesday, the city’s Bangabandhu Road, Collectorate Survi Udyan Road, Town Hall Chattar Road, and Stadium Road began to be painted in alpine color at once. Which ends at night. The Alpana festival is managed by the voluntary organization ‘We for Them’. Jiban Ghosh, the founder of the organization, said that 26 volunteers from Rangpur Fine Arts Academy and 70 volunteers from We for Them participated in the event. Each of the four important roads is 120 feet long and 15 feet wide.
“We have a history of the movement with four roads designated for drawing Alpina,” he added. We have painted the emotions, memories, and grief of the great liberation war in the colors of Alpana. Through this, we want to tell our own story to the new generation.
Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Asia Ahsan said the important roads were painted in Alpana to pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Bengali nation for thousands of years, and to celebrate the golden jubilee of great independence. Earlier also Alpana festival was held in Rangpur.
