Moudud’s body and janaza completed in Noakhali: The third janaza of Barrister Moudud Ahmed, the son of Noakhali’s masterpiece, was held in Noakhali.
Earlier, Moudud Ahmed’s body was brought to the Kabirhat Degree College premises by helicopter from Dhaka at around 3:10 pm. After that he will be buried after two more janazas in his upazila Kompaniganj.
His third janaza prayer was held at the Kabirhat Degree College ground in Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali on Friday (March 19) at 3.35 pm.

Secretary Advocate Abdur Rahman, Kabirhat Municipality Mayor Zahirul Haque Raihan, Kabirhat Upazila BNP President Abdur Rahim Chairman, General Secretary Liton Chowdhury, Companiganj Upazila BNP General Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Ripon and people from all walks of life including party leaders and workers.
After two janazas in the capital on Friday, he will be buried next to his parents as per his wish after 3 more janazas in his own area Kabirhat and Companyganj in Noakhali.
Moudud Ahmed’s third janaza prayer was held at Kabirhat Degree College ground in Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali.
The body of Barrister Moudud arrived in Dhaka from Singapore on Thursday evening. Upon arrival in Dhaka, the body was taken from the airport to the cold storage of a hospital in Dhaka.
Moudud Ahmed’s personal assistant Mominur Rahman Sujan said the body was brought to Kabirhat Upazila by helicopter after the formalities in Dhaka. After Jumma, he will be laid to rest at Kabirhat Government College Ground, Basurhat Government College Ground at 4 pm and at Janakpur at 5.30 pm.
It is reported that before his death, Barrister Moudud Ahmed had expressed his desire to be buried next to his parents’ grave. He has taken action on behalf of the family according to his wishes.
Moudud Ahmed died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Tuesday (March 18th) at around 7.30pm. He was 61 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Hasna Jasim Uddin Moudud, daughter Anna Taspia Moudud, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
