Tribute to the President of Nepal at the National Memorial: Nepal’s President Vidya Devi Bhandari has paid homage to the heroic martyrs of the War of Independence at the National Memorial in Savar.
On Monday (March 22) at 11:10 a.m., he arrived at the National Memorial in Savar to pay his respects to the heroic martyrs and was welcomed by senior government officials including the Minister for Liberation War Affairs, State Minister for Housing and Public Works, GOC of the Ninth Infantry Division and District Police Super.
Tribute to the President of Nepal at the National Memorial 2021:
He later paid homage by laying a wreath at the main altar of the National Memorial. At this time a smart contingent of three forces gave him a guard of honor. At this time the tune of the bugle sounded. Later, the President of Nepal planted a lotus flower sapling in the premises of the memorial and signed the inspection book. At 11:25 a.m. he left the memorial area for Dhaka.
Strict security measures were taken at the National Memorial and its surroundings following the arrival of the President of Nepal.
